Polish Road Congress - PIARC Poland and the Regional Roads Authority in Katowice invite you to the online conference "WebForum. Sustainable and Resilient Roads ”, which will be held on October 29th, 2020. That will online edition of one of the oldest conferences organized by Polish Road Congress - the Silesian Road Forum. Organized for the 8th time, the International Conference has become the most important platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices in road construction in Poland. Each edition was attended by approx.200 participants, experts and important representatives of the road administration - mainly from Poland and Germany.
Traditionally, during the conference, topics of strategic importance and showing the latest technological trends in road engineering are discussed. These strategic topics will include: conclusions for the road industry on the functioning of the COVID-19 pandemic, a new road administration system in Germany, as well as the presentation of a new system of Patterns and Standards for roads and bridges in Poland. Among the technical topics, a special segment will be devoted to durable asphalt surfaces, road quality assessment, earthworks and soil improvement.

To attend the WebForum you are kindly asked to complete the online registration form and make payment of the due fee to the Association's bank account at Alior Bank S.A. no: PL 58 2490 0005 0000 4600 9671 2068 by 22nd of October 2020. After the funds are credited to the Organiser's account, a unique personal link to join the event will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the application.
The participation fee is Euro 50. The price covers participation in on-line events as well as access to conference materials afterwords.
Having filled the online form, you can download an automatically generated pro-forma invoice. The actual digital invoice will be mailed to the address indicated in the application form as soon as payment is completed.
Failure to make the payment on time is not tantamount to withdrawal from participation in the event. The organizer reserves the right to return the fee paid in less than 48 hours before event and to refuse entry to the event.
The participant may withdraw from participation in the WebForum at no cost by submitting a written statement by October 22, 2020. The resignation should be mailed from the address provided in the application form to the address firstname.lastname@example.org. In the case of the resignation after that date, the Organizer will charge the participant with the full participation costs.
The organizer is not responsible for any damage or inability to use online events, resulting from incorrect registration data, failure to perform or improper registration, failure by the user to have appropriate equipment, software or connection to the Internet service required for specific online events.

The aim of this event is to facilitate a constructive dialogue between researchers and practicioners in order to foster a better understanding of roads sustainability and ecoinfrastructures.
As usually the PKD conference season starts with the Forum on the construction and operation of tunnels. In 2021, the event has a new name - the 3rd International Tunneling Forum and is held online.
